Letter Sent to Key West City Commissioners on 10/19/20 Regarding Sunscreen

Dear Mayor and Commissioners:

The board of Last Stand supports the education efforts that Reef Relief continues to provide visitors and our community regarding the dangers of products containing Oxybenzone and Octinoxate.

We thank Commissioner Weekley for bringing the resolution to your next meeting to encourage retailers to display posters where sunscreen is sold so that consumers can make the right choices to protect the coral reef and themselves.

Please pass this resolution and please continue to look for ways within Florida Statutes to protect the coral reef.
